I started mlti to help people reclaim their time.

I’ve spent most of the last 15 years in Encinitas, California, though as of the summer of 2026 you'll likely find me in Barcelona! I’ve been lucky enough to have a gloriously scattered career: I went to conservatory for classical piano performance and had some wonderful years as a working musician, then earned my CFA and spent over a decade in the investment industry as an analyst and money manager, eventually helping start a wealth manager in 2015.

Lately I’ve been clawing my way back toward the code (in spite of AI, or perhaps to spite it), and I think of myself first as a software engineer and founder. Most recently I’ve been building complex multi-stakeholder workflows for large health care organizations at Awell.

That’s where mlti started. Between Awell, another startup with my wife, the move to Barcelona -- all on top of being a husband and dad -- I've felt the drain from context switching. (Plus, what's one more company anyway?) So mlti's Chief of Staff reads what you point it at, across every account, keeps the notes, and asks only what only you can answer, so you can get back to the thoughtful work only you can do.

When I'm not working, I'm probably spending time in Barcelona with my wife and our youngest daughter. I get to see our two older kids when the calendar allows, both off pursuing higher education in Canada and the UK. When I’m not in front of a computer I wrestle with the piano in fits and starts, and occasionally find the gumption to write down a phrase or two…
