About
I started mlti to help people reclaim their time.
The knowledge that runs a business shouldn’t be trapped in one person’s head, and prying it loose shouldn’t cost them their week. Have a conversation, and the process is captured, signed off, and shared. Everyone gets their time back.
Who’s behind it
A note from the founder.

Jonathan Belanger
Founder, Archmage
I’ve spent most of the last 15 years in Encinitas, California, though as of the summer of 2026 you might find me in Barcelona for long stretches. I’ve been lucky enough to have a gloriously scattered career: I went to conservatory for classical piano performance and had some wonderful years as a working musician, then earned my CFA and spent over a decade in the investment industry as an analyst and money manager, eventually helping start a wealth manager in 2015.
Lately I’ve been clawing my way back toward the code (in spite of AI, or perhaps to spite it), and I think of myself first as a software engineer and a founder. Most recently I’ve been building complex multi-stakeholder workflows for large health care organizations at Awell.
That’s where mlti started. Over and over I watched organizations try to automate their workflows and stall out on the very first step, because nobody could ever quite agree on how the work actually gets done. You can’t automate what you can’t describe. Documentation is step zero, and step zero is where everyone gets stuck. mlti is my attempt to make that first step painless: talk it through once, and it’s written down. It’s the ground floor of automation, and, I like to think, a small nudge for people up toward the top of their own pyramid, out of the rote and into the thoughtful, higher-value work only they can do.
I live with my wife and our youngest daughter, and I get to see our two older kids when the calendar allows, both off pursuing higher education in Canada and the UK. When I’m not in front of a computer I wrestle with the piano in fits and starts, and occasionally find the gumption to write down a phrase or two…
